The teeth in the CL255 are above the rope so that when un-cleated, the rope automatically drops away and can run freely. Making it ideal for through-deck or through-mast applications.
The CL255 is used as part of a system, that prevents glass being blown into a room after an explosion. Instead the glass bounces off the rope held by 2 pairs of the CL255 and out of harms way. The sheet of glass is bonded with laminate to keep it in one piece. Cleats were chosen for their ability to withstand a bomb blast and were put through a rigorous series of tests before being selected.
